Territory Manager Opportunity

Employer:  Growing convenience store chain in Westchester County.

Summary:  Controls and manages day-to-day operations of the locations under his/her responsibility. Trains managers and evaluates their performance. Recruits new hires and maintains pipeline of employees. Controls schedules and provides coverage when necessary.

Major Duties/Responsibilities: Controls and manages the day-to-day operations of the locations under his responsibility; ensures/promotes safety at locations; maintains compliance with state environmental regulations and policies and procedures; ensures customers satisfaction; trains new managers and evaluate their performance; recruits and screens new hires; accepts and review candidates applications and conduct candidates interviews; controls schedules at locations; checks and control inventory items; checks on day/night list to ensure compliance with company procedures; ensures that products in stores are properly merchandized and check expiration date; ensure proper age verification for tobacco, lottery and alcohol and trains all employees; handles uniforms for all locations and ensures uniform compliance; checks and ensures that all maintenance issues are done in timely manner; initiates managers meetings; monitors mystery shopper reports and maintains high score in all locations; provides GM with detailed site visit report; defines and analyzes the market and competitive climate and reports items to GM; identifies strengths and weaknesses of each store and build plans to improve; offers innovative and creative ideas to drive sales; organizes customer appreciation days; handles customer’s complaints and direct them to GM; ensures gas inventories at proper levels to eliminate run outs; monitors current promos and ensures compliance; monitors shrink on each store and build plans to reduce it.

Job Requirements: Minimum of college diploma; basic computer skills (word processing/spreadsheets); valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; knowledge/ experience of retail operations; knowledge/experience of effective recruiting and interviewing techniques.
