Meet Mike Newman, NYACS Retail Board Chair

   Michael F. Newman, Executive Vice President of NOCO Energy Corp., Tonawanda NY, operator of NOCO Express Shops, is 2009-2010 Chairman of NYACS.

   He succeeds Peter Conley of United Refining Company, who remains on the Board of Directors.
    “Over the next 12 months, we plan to take steps to improve our effectiveness in pursuing legislative and regulatory goals, re-examine our organization’s strategic direction, build our membership numbers and involvement, expand New York-specific C-store industry data collection, and enhance the value of NYACS membership,” said Newman.
    Michael also serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA). He holds a BS in Finance and an MBA in Finance and Business Administration from Canisius College.

   The family-operated NOCO owns and operates a diverse group of businesses primarily focused on sale and distribution of energy products. It also operates more than 30 NOCO Express convenience stores throughout Western New York.
