Paying Dividends
Our workers comp trust delivers!
For the first time in its 10-year history, the Retailers of New York Workers Compensation Trust has declared a dividend.
The self-insurance program initiated by NYACS in 1997 has grown to 762 members ranging from C-stores to florists to furniture stores, and approximately $9.1 million a year in premiums.
The RONY trust is professionally administered by First Cardinal LLC and is overseen by a board consisting of Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppe President and CEO John MacDougall, NYACS President James Calvin, and Play It Again Sports CEO Stephen Vonk.
Dividend payments of 10% for 2003 and 5% for 2004 will be made to members who participated in those years. Plus, due to recent reforms to New York’s workers compensation system actively sought by First Cardinal and NYACS, current members will see an average drop of 22% in premiums for 2008.
Beyond the monetary savings, First Cardinal offers exceptional claims management and expert, store-level guidance on improving workplace safety.
