Governor Paterson Signs Magee-Nozzolio Tax Fairness Legislation
...but judge immediately blocks enforcement
Affirming his desire to confront the tax fairness issue from a position of strength, Gov. David Paterson signed the Magee-Nozzolio bill, which is designed to curb cigarette tax evasion on Indian lands. NYACS commends Governor Paterson for his leadership and looks forward to enforcement of this law.
